Senior Technician Audio & Broadcast Technologies/Production
For a much of my career I have been involved in the development and delivery of high end audio services for independent production companies, public service broadcasters, renowned festivals (Glastonbury/WOMAD/Reading), major UK performance venues and live radio broadcast events. I have particular interests in live/location music capture, broadcast journalism technology and studio recording and have been the producer of a number of commerically available music products.
In my current role as Senior Technician (Audio) on the Falmouth University Woodlane campus I have been working with our audio branding, theatre and radio, broadcast journalism and podcast production students. In summer 2019 I authored "The Pocket Podcast Book" for aspiring creatives. In addition to the above I am also involved in multi-source spatial audio project research, event coordination, student radio broadcast tech, live music broadcast balancing and public-sector media project development in Cornwall and further afield.
Academically, I hold a First Class Honours degree in Radio and an MA in Sound Design (Distinction).
